What can I say?  It was a lot of fun.  The drive was long but
worth it.  Besides the four of us there were three guys from a
group in San Antonio, three more from Mississippi, a guy from
Houston and assorted others.  There were 16 coaches in all.

The guys from San Antonio were a lot of fun and we exchanged
emails.  They have a large group that plays all kinds of GW
games.  Be on the look out for a BB tournament down there
sometime in the future.

The events co-ordinator came over and told us to organize the
tournament however we wanted.  We played three games, rolled for
a skill on one player after every game.  Very laid back.  Most
common team at the event was Skaven.  Saw a few lizardmen,
dwarves & wood elves.  But in the end it was Jeff's Undead
winning the tournament overall.  The other Jeff, coach of the impressive
Lizardmen temple/ dugout, had three wins & same # of TDs scored but
our Jeff allowed fewer touchdowns against.  Mike walked away with
most casualties, 15.  Noone was informed that there was going
to be a "most casualties" award until the end.
Nathan & Chris both finished 2-1.  Everyone had a blast.

GW was selling only Warhammer & 40K stuff.  Sad since Friday was
all specialist games.  Nathan cleaned up on bits.  They had
several big displays, order sheets, & free delivery.  There was
also a big thing of paints 10 for $10.  They were clearing out
their backstock since GW is moving to a new type of bottle.

Blood Bowl was definately the loudest and roudiest bunch in the room.
The Warmaster and Battle Fleet Gothic guys would be politely using
their tape measures and templates when an erruption of noise would
undoubtly interupt their stategies in mid thought.

Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures.  If I use the flash it bleaches
out all the color, and if I don't then I have to hold the shakey hands
very steady.  So here are a few of the good ones.  If the quality offends
you, try taking off your glasses or standing 10 feet away from the screen
and all will be well.

If you have any info on who's minis that are not accredited, email me at
xbbl@kichline.com

If you have any more photos from the tournament, mainly of Blood Bowl,
definately email me!

Someone's well painted Lizardmen.  My horrible angle and blury camera.

My first opponent, Spencer Scoggin's rat ogre.  Skaven vs. Skaven with a 4-3 win in OT.

Non Blood Bowl, but still pretty cool.

This Dark Elf army was particularly impressive.  If I recall the harpies are the new demonettes
with wings attached to them.

Yet another beautiful army setting.  Maybe "beautiful" isn't an appropiate word for tanks and guns?
